The event will feature an opening keynote address from Lord Carlile of Berriew QC, who chaired the Parliamentary committee that scrutinised the Mental Health Act changes when they were in draft.

Chaired by David Hewitt, Partner, Weightmans LLP, this event will bring together the leading practitioners in the field of mental health law. Speakers include the Department of Health and the Care Quality Commission, which recently took over the regulatory functions of the Mental Health Act Commission.
