Trade Secrets And Confidential Information

Part of the Intellectual Property Law Webinars stream

Introduction

To establish what constitutes trade secrets and confidential information, it is essential first to identify what information is important to your business and whether it can be protected.  The form that information appears in is irrelevant but what is important is whether a limited number of people were aware of the information and whether the person receiving the information ought reasonably to have supposed that the information should remain secret. One exception to this rule allows employees to apply their skills and experience gained during the course of their employment.
