Hot Issues In Employment Law - Key Legisation

22 leading experts explain the key developments for 2011-2012

Introduction

This year, we are delighted that the conference will be opened by Judge David Latham, the President of Employment Tribunals (England & Wales), who will be giving us his views on the Government’s consultation on resolving employment disputes. Other sessions will look at key changes made by the Equality Act 2010, such as to the law on disability discrimination and equal pay, and the problems thrown up by that legislation’s drafting, as with the provisions on compromise contracts. We will examine the latest position on age discrimination and on pregnancy, maternity and paternity rights. We will also be reviewing the implications of the Bribery Act 2010 and will look at important new cases on working time, on the law relating to industrial action, and on the employment law rights of workers overseas.
