Performance & Absence Management

A practical guide to tackling performance issues and sickness absence whilst staying within the law

Introduction

Managing an employee who is not performing to the required standards or whose sickness absence has reached unacceptable levels is an essential management skill. Failure to do so is costly, causes lost productivity and can result in frustration amongst other employees. Where the process is not followed correctly, expensive legal settlements may well follow, as a result of employment disputes arising.

This course will give delegates the practical and tactical skills to apply the process of managing performance issues and sickness absence, carry out effective meetings and interviews and make the process much easier.
