Matrimonial Finance & Divorce Proceedings

A thorough examination of the latest developments including new Family Procedure Rules, chaired by Michael Gouriet, Withers LLP

Introduction

In the last 12 months there have been a series of significant rulings that have far-reaching implications for practitioners concerned with financial proceedings on divorce.  The Supreme Court’s decision in Radmacher v Granatino [2010] raises important questions regarding the concept of ‘fairness’ and pre-nuptial agreements.

Furthermore, the Court of Appeal case of Tchenguiz Imerman v Imerman [2010] has changed the law and practice on disclosure and confidentiality of documents in financial proceedings on divorce.

Practitioners also need to get to grips with the new Family Procedure Rules which come into force in April 2011.

Chaired by Michael Gouriet of Withers LLP, this comprehensive one day programme will enable you to keep up-to-date with the latest ancillary relief developments.
