The Law & Safeguarding Adults

The latest guidance to ensure compliance and best practice for safeguarding adults

Introduction

Chaired by Andrew Parsons of RadcliffesLeBrasseur, this conference will provide practical guidance on how to effectively safeguard vulnerable adults. With a keynote address from Mr. Justice Hedley on safeguarding and the empowerment of the incapacitated adult, other issues covered include the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS), the impact of MiG v MeG (now P & Q) and how the Court of Protection can be used to protect vulnerable adults.

Along with our panel of expert speakers, Frances Patterson QC of the Law Commission will analyse the implications for safeguarding of the Law Commission’s final report of adult social care.

The effective safeguarding of adults is a rapidly growing and developing area of work for practitioners. It is essential that organisations working with vulnerable adults are aware of the wide ranging regulations and statutory requirements for safeguarding vulnerable adults.
