Introduction
Why attend this course?
Delegates to our other pension courses often tell us that there are no courses available for those that have a basic knowledge of the subject, but who are not full blown experts. This intermediate level course is intended to bridge that gap and to deal with key issues facing those who work in pensions today. It is intended to allow attendees to better understand current and future developments as they emerge.
How does the course work?
Although the course expects a basic level of knowledge, each session will start from first principles and guide delegates through the main issues. It concentrates on employer pension provision, but also includes a session on state benefits. The course looks at DB and DC issues and at legal, actuarial and administrative matters. All the sessions deal with topical issues.
The three course leaders will be present throughout the day. The programme is flexible so they will expand on those issues of most interest to delegates, with questions being positively encouraged.
By the end of the course delegates should feel that they have built on their existing pension knowledge and are well equipped to respond to the many further changes that lie ahead.
