Introduction
For its conference on Re-engaging Employers on Saving for the Future, SPC has assembled a group of eminent speakers from the world of politics, academia, finance and pensions. They will examine the forces which have contributed to this crisis of confidence. They will also assess the changes needed in the current regulatory and financial environment, to give the existing model a chance to regain confidence; suggest areas, in which the current way of doing things needs to adapt, to meet new realities; and debate whether the current model simply no longer meets the needs of employers or employees and, if so, what should replace it.
